Update: 18th August 2021
Customer Advisory NoticeCovid-19 Update
With the Country going to a Level 4 lock down at midnight on Tuesday 17th August 2021 for 3 days and Auckland for 7 days, we advise that we are deemed an essential service provider and will continue to provide essential services but at a reduced service level due to a lot of business closing, and will operate 1 to 2 cycles around Auckland in the interim period.
Local services will reduce to 1 to 2 cycles per day depending on the area, with a hub at our depot at midday for the Auckland metropolitan area , and overnight next business day delivery to areas south of Papakura and north of Albany.
Intercity services will continue but with reduced linehaul capacity, so although we will be targeting next day North Island and 2 day South Island there could be delays, and depending if businesses are open.
Note that Air New Zealand is operating a reduced network, and that overnight South Island Satchels could incur a 2 to 3 day service.
Our Customer Support staff will also be reduced so please be patient if calling us.
Our Policy of No Contact Pick-up and Delivery applies and is paramount without exception as detailed below.
Pickups
Your Suzie Logistics Contractor will arrive at the pick-up location and make contact with the customer ensuring the two metre separation rule. Customer’s must have their parcels for pick-up in an area where the Courier can scan each parcel and load their vehicle with customers observing the two metre separation rule.
Delivery’s
Your Suzie Logistics Contractor will arrive at the delivery address and make contact with the delivery customer ensuring the two metre separation rule. Please advise your customers of this requirement. The Contractor will ask for the full name of the person who is receiving the parcels. The Contractor will then enter these details on their scanner. The receiving customer will not be asked to sign anything. The Contractor will then place the parcels at the customers site. If a customer refuses to accept a delivery on this basis, then that delivery will be returned to the Suzie Logistics distribution centre for other arrangements to be made and the delivery will be endorsed as Delivery Refused.
Proof of Delivery
The Contractors record of the receivers full name in place of a signature will become the agreed and accepted Proof of Delivery until further notice.
Suzie Logistics Limited will be closely monitoring the situation and will continue to update you if anything changes.
